On the site of a former waste-management facility the city of Bern (CH) is seeking to realise a new sustainable – mostly residential – neighbourhood. Our scheme proposes a set of different typologies reflecting the needs and expectations of various developers and different end-user target-groups. The buildings are organised around a central neighbourhood plaza which becomes the collective outdoor living-room of the new neighbourhood.

On the edge of the site a landmark-apartment-tower marks the entrance plaza serving the wider surroundings.
