As a reference to local building tradition the new entrance building for the Open Air Museum Glentleiten is designed as one roof, that covers all functions. Seperate volumes, pointing into different directions create courtyard situations and generate scenic views. As an ensemble with the Starkerer Stadel, the building to the north, a welcoming entrance plaza with outdoor restaurant space and the museum shop window is created.

The archaic volume is even stronger noticeable in the inside and forms an appropriate threshold to the museum. Referencing to the museum's exhibits, the entrance museum is constructed from wood. A contemporary interpretation of carving techniques adds to the level of detail.
